Steven Donaldson

British American Tobacco

Borned in Ireland, Steven has been working in the tobacco business for almost 15 years and in three different markets by now. In British American Tobacco, the second largest tobacco manufacturer in the world, he has served different positions – starting as a Business Development & Horeca Manager, becoming Managing Director of the Irish unit later, and arriving in Prague in 2014 as a director for the Central Europe region. He has been driving the growth agenda for 12 markets and he is responsible for 400+ direct & indirect staff. Steven also served as Marketing Director for BAT Central Europe.

At Brand Management 2019 conference, he is going to focus on the story of transforming the tobacco business mainly with the new heating products. Since 2018 he has been involved in introducing new categories and Czech market was the first in Europe where BAT introduced the glo brand. The project demanded completely new agile approach and strong leadership and direct marketing activities.
